Brittany Nelson
2025 Stepping Stone Grantee
Brittany Nelson (b. 1984, Great Falls, MT) received her BA from Montana State University and her MFA from the Cranbrook Academy of Art. She is an Artist in Residence with the SETI Institute, a former resident at the Headlands Center for the Arts, and the recipient of a Creative Capital Foundation Grant. She has recently presented works at Luhring Augustine, New York; the Museum of Art São Paulo; Bonniers Konsthall, Stockholm; Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma Finnish National Gallery, Helsinki; Trondheim Kunstmuseum, Norway; Le CAP - Centre d’art Saint Fons, France; and the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit. Her work has been featured in publications such as The New Yorker, The New York Times, Art In America, Frieze, and Cultured Magazine.
